Once again at this year's 2006 NEAT fair, on Saturday night Sept 16th, will be a micro indoor model flying session hosted by our Boston Micronauts indoor club. The event will be held at the Downsville high school's single-court basketball gym in Downsville NY, about 4 miles from the NEAT outdoor site. The emphasis will be on micro indoor models and will be an invitational event for pilots.

Many of the presenters at the the micro model seminars organized by Sergio Zigras over the three day weekend will fly at the indoor event, as well as other top national and internationally known micro RC modelers. It will be a good opportunity to see some of the most cutting edge micro models fly, mix and mingle with other micro modelers, and also to showcase micro RC for NEAT attendees who may not be micro modelers. Among those expected to be present and/or fly are Henry Pasquet, Joe Malinchak, Stew Meyers, Don Srull, John Worth, Bob Selman, and Matt Keennon.

You can get more of an idea of the type of planes typically flown at the indoor night by looking at the planes featured in the half-time demonstration flying in the following pdf file:

If you would like to request an invitation to fly, please write us at the email address above. Include a picture of the plane(s) you would be flying at the indoor. We also need wing span, propulsion system, weight, and wing loading. We will review this information to see if the planes are micro in nature and keeping with the "micro" focus of the indoor night. If we have enough pilot slots you will get an invitation.

Please note that 3D hovering type planes will not be allowed at the indoor night. 3D planes are not the focus of this indoor and can also destroy micro planes.
